Remembering Those That Gave All

Happy Memorial Day!

Today we remember and say thank you to those that gave all for the freedoms we enjoy. May we never take their sacrifice for granted.

From Cracked to Charming

Little girls are supposed to be made of sugar and spice, and everything nice. Unfortunately, this precious little girl's photo had some discoloration, fading, and cracks.

I was able to work my magic and take it from cracked to charming.

What memories could we breathe new life into for you?

Graduation 1987

Since it is commencement season, I recently restored this graduation photo from 1987.

The original was a little dark and had an orange colorcast. After some time in the studio, it now looks as bright and cheerful as the day it was taken.

From Lackluster to Lively

This photo from the 1970s was badly discolored. Although the couple in it appear to be smiling, the colorcast was keeping the joy from shining through.

Now, this photo has gone from lackluster to lively, and can be enjoyed for many generations to come.

A Girl & Her Goat

This photo is from 1929, and was in desperate need of some special attention. For one of my customers, this is her favorite photo of her mom.

Not only was I able to "remove" the tape along the edges, and repair all the cracks and creases, but I was able to enlarge it from a 3.5x5 to an 8x10.

The family will be able to enjoy this photo for many generations to come.

A Father's Love

This little gem from 1971 was in need of some color correction.

This sleepy father is holding the youngest of his eight (8) children. Sadly, he passed away in 1980, and never got to watch this little guy grow up, get married, and have children of his own.

Now the photo has been restored, it will be cherished for many generations to come.

Enlarging the View

In addition to restoring treasured memories, I can also crop and resize them.

The following is one of those such requests. It is a photo of my customer's mother, and she not only wanted the photo restored, but to have the background cropped out and have it resized to a 5x7.

From Washed Out to Wonderful

A customer brought me this extremely faded and worn out photo that she wanted renewed. I am thrilled with how this restoration turned out.

The details may have been hazy, but after a few hours in the studio, it went from washed out to wonderful.

Finished Project - Confirmation 1928

Here is the restored version of the 1928 Confirmation certificate.

I saved it in the following common print sizes:
  • 8x10
  • 10x13
  • 12x18
The text is clear on the final product, but was blurred for privacy and security purposes.

Current Project - Confirmation 1928

There are quite a few projects being worked on in the studio. The following is a glimpse into a Confirmation certificate from 1928 that I am restoring.

This fragile document came to me in three pieces. The text is in Polish, but I blurred it for privacy reasons.

I can't wait to see this beautiful document restored to its former glory.

From Ravaged to Renewed

Time took its toll on this photo from the 1970s. There was extensive fading and a dual colorcast of magenta and yellow.

After some time in the studio, it went from ravaged to renewed. It will be around for many decades to come.

No Longer Seeing Red

This photo is from the 1970s and its color has changed drastically. It has an awful red colorcast.

After some time in the studio, the red is gone and the original colors can shine brightly again.

Family Photo Goes From Vague to Vivid

This family photo is only 15 years old, but has already begun to fade and develop a pink colorcast.

After spending a little time with Photoshop, I was able to bring it from vague to vivid.

It's been a while

Sorry it has been so long since I have shared anything, but my kidney issues have made it difficult for me to spend much time in the studio....
