She had put together a set of photos to create a scrapbook for her younger brother. Unfortunately, her basement flooded and all of her pictures got wet and suffered damage. 

The colors ran on every photo; however, some still had enough detail left to be recovered. Others, unfortunately, were too badly damaged and the memories were lost.

Sisters - Restored

 Below are the "before" and "after" versions of the Sisters photo that I mentioned in my last post.

The original photo had:

• A missing section (top, left corner)
• Fading
• Numerous Scratches
• Was originally sized to be around 3x5

All of the issues were corrected and the photo was upsized to a 5x7.

I feel blessed that I was able to breathe new life into this old memory.

Sisters

Photos and videos help us remember those that are no longer with us. For many, these memories are vulnerable to the ravages of time and the elements. Printed photos can fade, get scratched, and suffer other types of damage.

The following is the "before" photo of my customer and her older sister who recently passed away. Once restored, the:

• Fading will be corrected
• Scratches will be erased
• Missing parts will be restored
• And the overall photo will be sharpened 

Additionally, the photo will be upsized from a 3x5 to a 5x7.

Hello and happy new year! 

I know it has been a while since I posted anything, but I've been swamped with a family health crisis and haven't found the time until now. 

In between doctor visits and surgery, I have a few projects from some new customers I have been able to begin working on. 

One involves photos that were going to be used in a scrapbook, but they sustained extensive water damage. Some of the photos, sadly, are too badly damaged to be repaired. There isn't enough detail to make out what the original image looked like, especially the faces. There are a handful that can be partially restored, and a few that will be fully restored. It is heartbreaking when photos are beyond repair.

The other is a photo of two sisters when they were little girls. As the original photo was approximately 4x4, I am not only fixing the damage, but upsizing it to a 5x7. The older sister recently passed away, so this is a precious memory indeed. 

I can't wait to share some of the before and after photos very soon.

It is a true joy for me to work on and breathe new life into old memories. 

Basic Photo Restoration Example

Not all photo restorations take a lot of work, nor do they need to cost a lot of money.

The following is an example of a basic restoration that would only cost $25.00.

As you can see, the original photo had some minor fading and a reddish colorcast, but the overall details in the photo are still there.

There aren't any cracks, creases, or blotches either.
